New light stand

I just got my new Global Truss DT-3900 stands in and would like some ideas on how to mark to height at I crank them up.

They sell oil paint markers at some craft stores and Home Depot and Lowes. I would use a light color (white/yellow) to mark the heights .. Here's some at Amazon ... https://www.amazon.com/Paint-pens-rock-painting-Resistant/dp/B0774T13DV

Maybe .. the paint pens tend to be easier to read in darkened areas.

I will use these to lift my truss, and for now I'm using Intimidators 375Z on the truss along with other fixtures.

You could also lightly scratch a line on it.
It wouldn't rub off.

Otherwise, I used those paint pens and they work well.
