though I dont use it Silvio what should I do to keep the HD internal for the 2500 from unseating itself when in transport nearly every time. Im very gentle with my gear but it is in the odyssey case with the other Denon components so bumps a bit here and there. I opened it a couple times and reseated it only to have it show no HDD again and again. I would like to access it in case other methods arent working or I just want to use the 2500 with no externals.

Hi Jon,
To avoid this, a tech would need to trace this mysterious loose connection.
It could be as simple as one of those white ribbon connectors being reseated inside.

Thanks I will have it looked into in the future once things calm a bit. Great job keeping the new products onboard at Denon.

Silvio,

Great piece! Everything I could want in a midi mixer controller. Can't wait to get my hands on one!

What to do with the 4500/x500 combo?!?!?!?!

Jamie Im thinking the same thing. I had been looking at the ADJ unit as a backup but would love to get the Denon on Steroids. Sell my 900 mix the 2500 and the 4500 decks. I ought to gain the cash. To be continued. Edgar rules.

Jon... long story short ..

When I was at AC Expo back in 2009 I attended the Denon Product session Q&A. They asked what you would like to see from Denon... and I raised my hand and essentially told them this (MC6000).

So in 2010... I attend the AC Expo, go through the Denon booth several times... and I never even saw/heard about it. More my fault then Denon's as I never even suspected they would have one.

I ended up buying the VMS4 at the expo (sorry Silvio), get back from AC.... and READ THE PRESS RELEASE from DENON. UGH!

Needless to say the VMS4 is already sold. :)

And you are right! Edgar rules!

Jamie, thanks for attending the 2009 DJ Expo workshop and providing us with your great feedback.
We had another one this year too.

Glad to hear you like our MC6000 !

I could kick myself. Went through the Denon booth at least 5 times during the expo and never saw the MC6000. Since I am moving up into video next year, the MC 6000 would seem to be my new digital controller solution. Currently using the HD-2500.

Wish I had seen this new controller while in A/C.

I'm a simple mobile DJ. Just give me a simple controller. No need for all the bells and whistles. Something along the lines of the old DAC 2 would work for me.

Start, stop, pause, cue and jog wheels or even a forward and rewind button or wheel. That new Dicer would be cool if I could remap the buttons the way I wanted.

I have the 2500 Denon, and I find that even that has WAY MORE things than I will ever use for the events I do.... but for what I paid for it, it was a steal.

That is interesting. I have read where this has happened to a few other 2500 owners. I have had 2 of these units since they first came out & never had this problem.

A problem I did have was the way I had my song files all in 1 folder & I had never defragged the drive. It went haywire on me.

I was instructed to create a variety of folders (by Genre) for all the song files and this is important: defrag the drive every few months, it will assure that it runs smooth & runs much faster.

Silvio,

I own the 3700's and the X1600 mixer but I am always intrigued when Denon releases a new product. I will probably pick up the MC6000 because I am a sucker for all things Denon!

My question is, can you control the video transitions within VDJ from the MC6000 unit? Can I choose which effect and transition is used when mixing between deck A and B without having to touch the laptop?
