Hey y'all. I am needing to upgrade to a new laptop after years of use from old reliable. I use Traktor for my gigs. Just music, no video.

I would like to stay at or under $1000 with a little wiggle room for the right laptop.

Thanks for any suggestions.

This is a great time to buy a laptop, with all the Black Friday deals. Pretty much anything with an i3 or better will work fine with Traktor... I just saw this one on Newegg...

For a DJ laptop, an i5 processor (Mac or Windows) is probably the sweet spot .. fast enough for most needs and less expensive than an i7 (or i9). Personally, I wouldn't go the i3 route unless you were cash starved. An i5 should last you 5-7 years. If you aren't doing video, or running multiple apps like DMX in the background, 8Gb RAM is probably sufficient. Disc space would be whatever you need.

Might wanna go for the i7 ASUS. Newer i7 processor and FireCuda SSHD (albeit just 1TB), the ASUS is a better computer than the Dell Inspiron IMO. I own a Dell Latitude, which is the better series than the Inspiron.
