I always check the MB top 200, and everytime i see the chicken dance by the Sorta Crackers Band. I have the Bob Kames (sp?) version. Does anyone know how to get a hold of the Sorta Crackers version? If not in your opinion which is the BEST version of the song? Thanks for the help guys..i am going through all of my music and putting the best versions together. For instance the (live platinum band) version of Cha Cha-by Casper is the best version IMHO of that song. And the Billboard 1979 cd version of YMCA for some reason is always the one i have used..some other versions seem a little different. What versions are you guys using/recommend of certain songs we use all the time? Thanks.
 
For the Chicken Dance, I almost always use the Brave Combo version...the kids love it as it's tempo increases thoughout the song. I have the Bob Kames version and use it when the "older" folks want to do it.. :sqwink:

It personal preference here....I personally use the emeralds if its a older crowd and use Sorta crackers for a newer crowd. however I use the standard hokey pokey for a older crowd and use Little Richards version for a new crowd. (and in the brake of the song I throw in the hand jive)...its like i said personal preference.
 
I use the Emeralds for the Chicken Dance.....

Hokey Pokey,,,, Sometimes at schools I will use the "Thrasher Version" on the BMP discs...

Believe it or not, I've never heard that version before. Guess I'm going to have to search for that one.

Oh, Kirby... I've used that version as my Advanced Hokey Pokey for ten years now! It's done in typical Little Richard fashion, fast and jumping!

I never thought of throwing in the Hand Jive in the instrumental break. Good call!

Thanks Guys (and gals). I have never heard the Little Richard version of the Hokey Pokey, thanks for the info. Also never heard the Brave Combo version of the Chicken Dance. I have tried to find the Brave Combo Chicken Dance, i have looked on amazon with no luck. Also can't find the Sorta Crackers Band at all.:sqconfused:
