Monster Cable feeling the pain from the death of Circuit City

Hey guys, the Monster Cable is thicker so it must be better. At least that was what the Circuit City experts told the poor rubes. Something about the thicker rubber cushioning the electrons rushing toward the loads. I was surprised (at the time) to hear that more profit was earned by Circuit City in selling the cables than in all the electronics for the typical system.
CC pushed Monster patch cables hard.
When I worked for the TV shop I saw a lot of CC installs. Every one had Monster cables. Got caught up in redoing a couple of 'em, even though we weren't supposed to.
In one case, the CC installers had taped two short lenghts of Monster cable together and pulled it through the wall between the tuner and the TV. Evidently, one of the RGB connectors had become separated. We pulled the crap out and showed it to the customer.
