Just got home last night, but I did make a post on the ADJA page that I will share here..
I had a good time at MB18,,, I thought there was less people, not as many younger or newer DJs, which was sad on one hand, but on the other hand, made it easier to talk to DJs without being slammed into each other.
My wife asked me for highlights when I got home. Vickie Musni was one for me, Tuesday night DJ take over was fun, Randy Bartlett seminar was good, I saw the preview and he refined it. I do not know many presenters to make a point will lay down on the stage floor in their $150 suit, it was great.
I bought the "Extreme Bingo" game from Digi Games,,, that's cool... I caught only a small piece of Arnoldo Offermann Moving Head seminar, andI do have to say, not matter what, this cat is passionate about what he says. You can just feel his energy and enthusiasm.
As usual the networking outside the main hubbub of things was great. Hanging with Steve Sharp is always good. I love the honesty of this man.
I got a photo with Montell Jordan up in the Penthouse and I got to learn some games from Robbie Britton and then show him some amazing things I can do with a dollar bill and beer bottles (lol).
I wish I could remember the cats name that was at breakfast with the DJ Master Mindz crowd that had the guts (and I mean that is a very positive way) to announce that his company had a huge market share at $375 for 4 hours and wanted to learn how to up the bar. Alan Dodson was the man behind that. They group didn't slamm him like they would have on the boards and he truly wanted to learn even after saying the classic "it won't work in my market".... His first convention, I hope he had a great time and thanks for Alan for putting that together...
I helped take down the ADJA booth and Drax invited me to dinner (thank you) but I went over to the after party at Atlanta Photo Booth with JD Fields and he got me drunk, but I did get to meet the gal from RV Nuccio Ana Carson who deals with all us DJs but thanks anyway Hugo Drax...
Playing golf with Patrick Smiley on Sunday to kick off the week was great, cold but great LOL
John Rozz, Alan Dodson and me talking about DJs over 50 LOL
I will give you a word of warning, never leave your cell phone unattended around Randy Bartlett.. or this will be what ends up on your screen.... scary huh?
