Marketing Video

Another good video. As with anything people will see it different than others will. If you created it for brides then then their opinion is what matters most. If you created it for other DJ's then of course they're going to rip it apart.


Just some thoughts for future videos.

I didn't like the record scratching between video breaks. It cheapens the look you're going for.

I know the groom is a radio DJ but his type of DJ style is what many people think about when they hear the name DJ. That dumb annoying radio DJ voice that pisses most people off. One part of the video there was so much DJ testosterone overload it was bordering on obnoxious. It's like passing the mic around at a DJ meeting or convention. Everyone needs to out do the voices.

I think you were much more normal in the second video than the first. I see what Papa was saying as not knowing you it did appear to be to staged and rehearsed in the first.

Overall both are very impressive, you should be happy showing those videos.

Thanks Ron! The client in the second video is a sidekick/producer on a morning radio show.

We also do 2 appts, usually 1 before the contract is signed for similar reasons as sited above. Then 1 about 3-4 weeks before the event date. So I do understand all the planning and time needed to make it work "right" for that particular B&G.

Each of us have our own different ways of doing things... all acceptable, my only concern was the "over the top" thing, as mentioned above... good luck with the success !

She and Jeff have become friends over the last few months. He greeted her as a friend not as a client, knowing them both I hadn't even noticed till you mentioned it.:sqerr: Thanks

Then jokingly meaning, would you care to make something up for single op's.

Next statement, You are giving me ideas, on creating one for myself. (meaning dumping my videos and going in the direction of your video.)

Next statement, Only if my office was as full as yours.
meaning I have a 4 room office, plus a reception area, kitchen, all full of furniture but barely anything on the walls, which makes my office look bare.
Working 6 nights a week doesn't leave me much time to decorate.
Again though nice video.

I have 3-4 meetings with our clients, some brides prefer more, some less.
For instance: Bride books 10-16 months ahead of date. We don't wait til the last 3-4 weeks to meet with her, we talk continuously through out the year.
Whether contracted for DJ, or event coordinator,
About hugging your client, We create a great personal relationship with some clients, and we get hugged frequently.

Last Tuesday we were in a meeting with a potential bride, and in walks a bride from 2 weeks priors wedding. She just got back from her honeymoon in Barbados, and stopped in to tell us how great everything was. Gave us big hugs and lots of compliments and a tip check.
That personalization with that client, was great and I couldn't stage that if I wanted too.
Potential bride came back with signed contract within two hours.

Oh! Ok, I've never done the Single Op thing so I wouldn't even know where to begin! As for filling the walls with pictures, that part is easy. The pics on our walls are all from photographers in the area that we recommend. We ask them to come take a look around the office and decide what they want to put up to show their individual style and stand out. They are more then happy to provide some free decor in exchange for the referrals.

I'd say to hell with the wedding footage!
you come across so incredibly warm, professional, fun, and thorough...
I think it'll make a hell of an impression
(especially with the BRIDES)

I agree on the hugging thing as you have to know potential clients havent a clue about his personality and might be offended by such warmth. Especially if the viewer doesnt know these two had met previously. I know its a bit PC but in sales you have to know when conservative or liberal works to reach full positive client for potential sales success.
