Greetings Guys & Gals,

Would love to hear from some you folks running Macs & ripping to an iTunes library.

I want to maintain one master library on an external drive that two different laptops will be contributing to. Not only will we need to sync the two laptops to the drive, we also want to carry playlists and song ratings along from each laptop as well.

In a nutshell, we're talking multiple computers and one iTunes database. Staying organized and syncing multiple playlists and song ratings.

Any thoughts and comments will be much appreciated. And please, no need in going there...the Mac vs PC thing. Thanks!

Hey there,

I'm partially Mac based.

First thing to do is make sure your externals can be seen by either mac computer. Establish that first.

Then all you need is Allway Sync. It's free and super easy. You can sync from one mac to the external and make the sync relationship go both ways. THen you can plug that external to your other mac, point the program to the appropriate folders and have the sync go both ways. You should be good to go!

You can save the various jobs in Allway Sync like "mac1 to external" and "external to mac2"

Go get it..super easy.
