I know some of you that are into mixing do loops sometimes while others probably don't. I like doing a loop on the fly sometimes and I've found two good reasons to.
1. To help in beatmixing. I'll set up a loop on deck 2 at the same BPM as the song that is currently playing on deck 1. When I'm ready to segue the beat match is set and I can exit the loop anytime after the segue.
2. To have an instrumental bed to talk over. Since I don't like talking during the vocal part of a song, I'll start an 8 bar loop during an instrumental part. I did this once during the cha cha slide because I didn't wanna talk while DJ Casper was already talking. Make sense?
Anybody have any other good uses for looping?
