Looks Like Sid's Board Has Been Hacked

Poor guy. I just now got done cleaning up a client's site. The fix is relatively simple. Basically if certain files are left on the server a malicious user can make themselves an admin and add a notice which includes unfiltered HTML (hence the redirect). The good news for me is is my guy wanted vBulletin and his numerous plugins updated. 
If anyone has Sid's ear, tell him to delete any out of place notices in the ACP's notice manager and check for unknown admin accounts under Usergroups > Administrator Permissions. After that remove <vb root>/install/

He still has problems with his site, everytime I go there it is wanting to load something on my computer, home or office.
Geeze I was there last night for the first time in two years I'll probably get the blame lol
That board died down quite a bit. I guess the facebook chat clubs are getting the activity.
It could also be that as of late seems like most threads turn toxic.
It seems that way on alot of boards...even the FB groups.
Alot of that could be you are starting to see the generation that really never had to deal with anyone face to face in discussion before they have been on the internet most of their lives so they have no clue as to how not to be a keyboard hero
My god if that ain't the truth. People seem to act the fool when someone isn't right there to reach out and "touch" them.
I also think there is a group of people who are older and have a hard time dealing with people face to face, so they feel good when they put someone down with a keyboard. Something they'd rarely do in person. They act as if the online stuff is make believe.
I just recently did a wedding in Youngstown, about 2 hours from me. It was someone from another board who rarely posts and I'd never talked to, but he said he reads a lot. His son was getting married. He said he had always enjoyed reading my posts and liked my approach to weddings. He didn't ask for a discount and paid for the extra mileage and time.
Some of you guys remember Fuzzy. Dave is a great guy I met on the boards. He's done some events for me, and he's sent me a number of events he couldn't or didn't want to do.
To me, networking in person is the same as networking online. I hope when you guys meet me in person I'm exactly as I am here

I'm sort of the opposite. I try not to be a dink to people in person or online. I'm more apt to give people the benefit of the doubt online because there's no body language to read. In person it's much easier to read if someone is being a dbag just for the sake of being one and I'm more apt to tell them where to go and how to get there when my dbag detector goes off.
