Local library won't take my CD's

To many ads? Support ODJT and see no ads!
Thunder, already had the bout with cancer. I don't need the money. Donating them to a worthy cause feels like the right thing to do.

Fred, that sounds like a great idea. I may look into that.

Valerie, taking the time to put over 1,000 CD's back into jewel cases just ain't worth it.

Wes, the college radio idea I will keep as a backup.

Papa, I decided to donate and not go the piggy route of selling.

The Boy and Girl Scouts, a 4-H group... these folks are all the time doing something to raise money for their projects. And a lot of people will buy just to help the kids out. :)

One of the things I discussed with our ER was this possibility and use the funds to help support Camp Barrett.

Yup, Jim's another one of the survivors. May he be able to enjoy life for a long time to come.

Kill two Birds with one stone. Sell to Papa and make him happy. Take that money and donate to whichever Charity you choose. I bet the first Charity to which you offer the money would not hesitate to take it.:sqwink:
 
Hanks idea on the Clock stuff made me go buy 2x lots to try out :)

I have a heap of dud dvds and cds to try on (about 200)

when we remodeled the radio stations last year
the local college took BOXES and BOXES of CD's and LP's out of here!

what a better way to support music,
than to help out the last place to hear truly FREE radio!

No, I think what he ment was when the radio station he works for remodeled the local college FREE station came and carted out boxes of CD and Records and took them to the college station to use.
 
Yep. Clear as mud now.

Were they or were they not stolen? If they were stolen, why would they be allowed to just walk in an take them? Are they not under lock and key for one thing? If it is a known fact that they were stolen by the local college station, it would seem a little police work could get them right back.

Rob's got it right.
when we remodeled, they made no space for CD storage,
since we have all our audio on servers.
instead of throwing them away, we called a local college station
and told them they could have them, if they came in and got 'em!
We "donated" them to the college,
we just made them do all the physical work.
