So now they are coming out with light up face masks. Maybe at future events we can start selling these to our clients to hand out at their events!

They are even making sound activated ones!

I saw the price for one. Even with the coupon how are you going to sell this to clients?

If there is a market, someone will fill it ... you can get (though currently backordered) light up rainbow masks at Rhode Island Novelty for $1.50 each. Pride masks might not be what the market is looking for, but if they are being asked for, I'm sure custom printed ones wouldn't be too tough to make pretty cheaply .. it's probably the same guts as those in the foam batons ..

That's a great alternative rather than spending $30 each. He was talking about the super expensive ones. Just way to much for me to spend for even one. Just companies taking advantage of a situation. If they can get away with it more power to them. I'm sure they will find suckers who will buy one costing that much.

No .. the ones Ricky linked to are better and have more features .. Not as simple as the ones I linked to .. different strokes for different folks.

What client do you know that will spend $30_35 per mask for their guests attending their event and still pay you the DJ?
Maybe the same ones that pay you $1500 for a photobooth and still pay you to DJ?

My 2 questions are who on here is in panic mode because of the current situation of the world and how many will rush out and buy either one of those masks?

How about a white cloth mask with 2 slots to slide glow sticks in them.
Reminds me of time 30 years ago when I went to a night club that put glow sticks in their drinks. It was a hot Palm Springs weekend and everyone was wearing lightweight clothing. People would save their glow sticks and you could see them through some materials. One guy put a whole bunch in his underwear. It was pretty funny to see his glow.

I was offering an upgrade to UV/Blacklights and white facemasks. Thought that would be a pretty cool effect and a unique way to acknowledge the situation but not too over the top. I'm in WA state where masks were required.

I had my only remaining wedding this year go for it only for our Governor to ban wedding receptions the next week effective 2 days prior to that wedding. Which he then, 3 days later, pushed the ban out just past that wedding. By that time we had cancelled everything and refunded the payments. Ugh.

I can't even have a dancefloor at the moment. No point in trying to upsell masks when this year's events are all moving out.
Yeah, I am officially over with trying to do anything in regards to increasing income for 2020. It is pointless. My clients keep postponing or cancelling their weddings. Just had November 14th cancel last night. They say they will get back to me with their new date which will be some point far into next year.

I have 3 weddings left now for 2020. 8/22, 8/29, and 9/26....and then 2020 is over for events. THe postponements are old. I personally believe that the weddings industry needs to ban together, and tell couples they can't postpone with the only exception being on if the local area is on a lockdown and events are not allowed to occur at all. ...If they have to have it with only 50 guests or 50% capacity in the venue and wearing masks, then the event must go on, and COvid19 shouldn't be an excuse for any delaying. Unless the bride or groom or parents are currently ill, or something happened, then the event should go on as scheduled.

That is just my opinion. These delays are going to put a lot of businesses under including caterers and venues. A whole year and potentially longer at this point with no to hardly any events is a business killer!
