If you can find them any more (Would have to be used at this point), the ADJ Boombox FX series on top of a traditional speaker stand with the CSL tripod/wingnut adapter works well for me.

For New, and plug and play, your best bet is going to be the Gig Bar Move even though I am not a Gig Bar Fan.

The moving heads are just underwhelming imo though. 10 watt LEDS...They just would get lost in a ball room, but for a typical bar or a small hall they perform okay.


Anything else that is plug and play is going to be cheap stuff from Amazon...like this

I know these are cheap, but I have to tell you that I've been pleased with them.


Other than that, it's hard to beat a Martin Acrobat. Funny this about the Acrobats, I've had them for a number of years and have yet to blow a bulb.

I have the American DJ Dotz Tpar system. Cannot personally compare it against others, but I do like it. I run it in auto mode with the remote for small gigs, and with DMX for bigger shows.
Usually use a static color (or slow fade) for cocktaiks and dinner, then pick it up when the dancing starts.

I totally get wanting an easy and hassle-free light show for those bar gigs. The Chauvet ILS stuff does look pretty cool, but if you're not feeling confident about the quality, it might be worth exploring other options. Have you checked out the American DJ Dotz TPar System or the Blizzard Lighting HotBox RGBW? Both are compact and come with stands, plus they have simple controls so you don't need to mess around with DMX.
