I had a B&G a couple of months ago ask for a Giant Jenga and Connect Four for their outside cocktail area so I bought them and almost paid for them with what I charged them. But now, I haven't been able to sell them. Do any of you offer them and how are you selling them? Any hints to "pitches" that might work?

Works in a VERY casual party. I went to a wedding reception that had the Jenga (cut 2x4s) and it was used a lot .. but it was a very simple, low budget wedding and had a lot of 25-35 yos.

The problem is that giant lawn games are EVERYWHERE now. You can quickly pick up what you need on Amazon, or at Bed Bath & Beyond, Bass Pro Shops, or from Facebook marketplace. Somewhere, there is someone who bought these for a party and is selling them because they were pricey and they'll never use them again.

Honestly, it's not worth the effort to try and sell them as a rental when you're only going to get $20 per game for them - anyone can buy that Connect Four set new for $80, and that's before they use their Bed Bath & Beyond coupon.

For me, it wasn't worth the hassle. I bought the games, but I can't police them all night and it's very likely that pieces will go missing after a few rentals. My kids are enjoying them though.

...and then there is that, too!

Yeah they are cheap to buy, it's why I waited until I was asked for them. I do a number of destination weddings so people would have to pack them to have them. I guess I will just keep trying and see how it goes. I offered both games to my bride for tomorrow for $125,,, but I bring a nice skirted table to put them on and so it's a better look than just what some will have.
