NYE went great.

We had a great crowd right from my 8 p.m start time..($1.00 domestic bottles of beer doesn't hurt)
Lost a few peeps around 12:30 a.m. but they all came back very quickly, The rest of the bars were shutting down, or were already closed!!!:sqlaugh:

There's 4 bars in a 2 block radious of where i was playing at. 2 of them are popular, and the other one isn't very popular... Anyways, at 1 a.m, one of the DJ's from the other bar (which has a beef with me) and his g/f come walking to my bar, And he doesn't look happy at all.........:sqlaugh:

Then abit later another guy comes up and starts asking me about my equipment, what i charge, etc Come to find out he was the DJ from the other bar...he was a really good guy, we talked shop abit, swapped cards....
he hung around and observed for a good 2 hours..

The people finally had enough around 5 a.m The guy that drives the shuttle van stopped in and said we were the only bar in town open yet, and he couldn't believe how many were still here yet!! So, i made an announcement for him, (I dj for his boss too..) and started tearing my rig down....

It made me quite happy to be the Last Bar Standing on a night like NYE..:sqcool:

Yes. Yes i was.

I brought all 4 double 18's and a pile of lights and stuff.....Got my big van running again, and had it all in there....So why not use it???:sqlaugh::sqlaugh:

Seemed like a good idea, till i had to schlepp it all back to the truck when i was tired.....But now the other dj's in town know what there up against...:sqlaugh:

In Wisconsin, We really don't have to close at all. If the bar has the staff to stay open they can, till the next day at 2 a.m. Then its business as usual.
 
VA. is the same as PA. all alcohol has to be off the tables by 2:00AM however there is the option in VA. to go private at 2AM as long as no one is allowed to come in the door after that time and no more alcohol is sold it can be served just not sold!

3 AM for NJ, though each town can regulate earlier, if they wish. The good news is that I'm close enough to the NY state line that I can go drink with those degenerates until 4! :sqlaugh:
