Kat is on TV!

You're BAD!

:sqembarrassed:

OK, I fell for it.

Review to come.

Very professionally done. Doesn't look like something someone cooked up with their camcorder. That's a good thing. :)

I'm wondering, if you're planning to run it on TV, how many of your intended audience are you going to reach that way. At any one time how many DJs or sound reinforcement guys are going to be watching your commercial?

Or am I missing that you serve regular Joe Schmoes in your town for home audio needs?

The commercial is very well done; I just don't want to see you throw money running it if your intended audience isn't watching.

PS: We demand more Kat in the next one. :sqwink:

Thanks guys... keep 'em coming. Good, bad and everything in between.

Dan - No, we won't run it on national or untargeted TV. Frankly, part of the audience will be YouTube viewers as our collection of YouTube demo vidoes increases, and also we will make it available on our website for those who, as John said, want to know what we are all about. It was produced for a specific purpose, but now I'm looking for other uses. Suggestions there as well would be most welcome.

Ben

Very nice, Ben. A professionally done presentation. :)

I tend to agree that Kat should've got some face time though. She's the personality of NLFX. :)

Preachin' to the choir here... I'm sure Ben and the team are aware but I'd like to mention it. Some years ago, Sunroc had a promo spot produced and pressed on mini CDs. They were given to current and prospective customers. Sales handed 'em out like business cards. They're small enough to fit in a shirt pocket or mailing envelope.

Definately a great way to get your message to your market. Ben, you can tell corporate that you thought of it. ;)

I was expecting a COPS episode :sqwink::sqwink::sqwink::sqwink:

Very nice.

Fred is correct about the mini CD's. I've got a bunch of them from Edelbrock, Comp Cams, etc. they're pretty neat.

I also like the fact that you guys make custom cables in house. I am going to get my xlr's and speaker cables from you guys from now on.

Hey Ben, do you guys perform warranty work (repairs) for Denon products?

Nice Ben

For SEO purposes we should all have video up on youtube with linkbacks from our own sites

Thank you. Warranty work for Denon actually goes back to Denon. We don't do that in house. Maybe someday, but right now our tech team is handling mostly out of warranty work, cable assembly and rack pre-wire.

Ben

Yo Professor Ben...

We only get to see yer back dude.

Not that I want to take you home to meet Mom or anything, but a smiley group shot at the end, would probably do wonders for potential customers :)

As you can tell, I believe in personal branding of a company name -- just look at anything I do or post -- sorta like Colonel Sanders ;)

looks good, could have used a few more "aloha shirts" for that relaxed friendly feel.Do you have a showroom? maybe a quick shot of a bunch of lights flipping around for a quick "wow" deal.

But you guys look huge!

Ben,

Warranty work is easy money. When I worked at the TV shop, over 90% of our work was warranty repair. It's a lot easier to get paid for warranty. We had a bench tech and all he did was warranty work.

Out-of-warranty repairs were hit-and-miss... the customer might come back or they may not. People want their stuff fixed but, when they find out how much it costs they don't want to pay for it. Ya end up with a pile of repaired inventory that ya have to sell to recoup your costs.

Yeah, sometimes ya gotta play by "their" rules when submitting warranty claims but you'll get your money. If "they" are difficult to work with (Sony, for example), don't honor their warranty work. ;)

Rick - Great suggestion thanks! Maybe a more "personal, conversational video" as opposed to this one which is a quick overview?

Chuck - Do you think my Hawaiian shirt is up to the task? ;) We do have a showroom as well, that's a great idea.

Fred - Thanks for the suggestion. Our geographical location means we have virtually no walk-in traffic, so people would have to ship items to us anyway and fewer and fewer mfgs are even authorizing service centers, but it is something I agree would be beneficial and it has been discussed many times.

Val - I always have time for you. ;)

Ben

Ben,
Order in your pm....

I think you could actually do 3 or 4 different clips, each with its own theme. Many people on youtube will watch related videos, so it's just more face time. Just don't forget the personal aspect. Notice how many people are disappointed it really wasn't a 'Kat' video?! If people like you they will not only patronize your business as a customer, they will also become your salespeople. Think of this as your opportunity to introduce yourselves to more people. :sqwink: But then, you already knew that.

So I click on the thread expecting to see a new episode of "Girls Gone Wild" and what do I see? An old rerun of Bill Nye the Science Guy.:sqmad:

Bill, did you not watch the Super Bowl? Did you not pay attention to the good ads? Sex sells. If you're looking to move more product ya gotta throw in the girls in bikinis. Let's face it, it's mostly guys buying your stuff (no offense Val & Jon). If you want to sell to the ladies as well then heck dude, throw on a speedo yourself and fire up that grinding wheel.

Either way it's a nicely done commercial. I will echo the fact of face time. You need to see more faces looking at the camera. Ya, ya, we know you all work hard but damn, show us some pearly whites.:sqwink:

Do you REALLY want to see me in a Speedo? LOL. 15 years ago when I could still pass as an athlete maybe.. but now??? LOL.

Thanks for the suggestions Ron (and above). We will be working on a "face time" spot for our friends here. :)

Ben

No Ben, absolutely not. But ask the ladies, I'm sure they would.:sqwink:

You've got a wonderful crew, some great people working for you. Show them off. Let them do the selling for you. All kidding aside you know that having Kat and Jenny on this board has been a great plus. They are pleasant young ladies who act in a professional manner (just some bs for the boss). OK, so they can get down to our level and get dirty with the rest of us, but you just don't find chemistry like that in every business.

Knock-um dead in Vegas.:sqwink:
