I've Gone Mac

Yup, I had one of my PC's die and with the money I made this past weekend I purchased a used 2010 Macbook Pro!

I got a great deal too, I think.

I paid just under $600.00 and got a Mid-2010 Apple Macbook Pro 15 with a Dual Core i7 2.66ghz processor, 8gb ram, Dual 128mb Intel HD graphics / 512mb NVIDIA graphics care, 500gb 7200 hdd.

Just got it yesterday so, I'm still processing my music on it but, so far it runs smooth as butter and looks darn near brand new.... I did do an OS refresh before anything else and then completely updated it via Apple network...

It's running Traktor and VDJ with zero problems, (once I remembered to switch from PC to Mac on my MC6000)... LOL

I wouldn't have made the jump if it hadn't been for my backup PC taking a hard dump on me.... now I'm glad it did... I'm not saying I'm now a hardcore Mac nerd but, I am liking it just as much as any other PC....

LOL.... I actually had to read the manual to figure out the trackpad..... hahahaha I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to "Click" I kept trying to tap the pad like a PC.... doesn't work that way.... LOL

First gig last night with the Mac. I had zero problems and saw my load time increase as tracks were loaded on to individual decks as compared to my PC. That's not to say that the improved performance is strictly related to Mac vs PC just that the Mac has improved hardware over my PC configuration. But, I did enjoy faster searches and and faster deck loading with less system strain.
