Well I have made the decision to buy stuff from other DJs to expand my collection of music because some of the rare track that I can't get my hands on I will have to get through someone else.
Me and another DJ from Sacramento area made a deal for me to buy all of his tracks while still having my own. While I do have my own style of music and genre, I have to go and use another collection to being more rep to my name.
on the upside, I would have a vast collection of music that I would have to separate via track by track and a pair of ears ... and go from there to increase my speed of conducting my shows efficiently.
So I will put this statement up for other DJs out there. If another DJ wants to play your stuff in one of their sessions, then you should let them. Why? not only will you get your rep from other people showing off your creation, your life will be easier when you sell an album or two. Everybody wins.
If ALL DJs share their tracks with one another (free or trade), each and every DJ on the planet will respect one another by the pound. In turn, everyone will have a vast collection and make money quicker, just respect the reputation and copyrights. DUH!!!!:sqconfused:
