I bought a set of these and they're awesome if you need to run more than 1 cable in the same direction. Put one box by your mixer and the other near a speaker, light tree or even by a small music ensemble or officiant. Or flip the boxes for DMX. (Could even swap a couple of jacks and have 2 of each gender at each end).

Uses either normal Cat 5/5e/6 wiring for balanced signal no ground, or use an Ethercon with shielded Cat wiring for DMX or Audio with ground. You can get a 50' Ethercon cable for around $35 .. 25'Ft-200Ft Cat 5e In/Outdoor Cable shielded Tactical w/Neutrik Ethercon RJ45 | eBay - (https://www.ebay.com/itm/25Ft-200Ft-Cat-5e-In-Outdoor-Cable-shielded-Tactical-w-Neutrik-Ethercon-RJ45/163699526314?hash=item261d408aaa:m:mc8gbTlUQ974gKeT7eGviRg)

I thought that DMX cables had a specific impedance value? Wouldn't this box introduce problems?
No .. the impedance and capacitance needs are mainly because it is a digital signal and audio cables with different characteristics might alter the signal shape and cause issues in reading whether it's supposed to be a 0 or 1.

Ethernet cables, especially Cat 5 and better are designed for those. Cat 5 also works fine for audio .. only issue for many cables is solid conductors and no shielding .. the stranded STP cables (shielded twisted pair) along with a heavier rubber jacket in those used with the Ethercons make them similar to mic cables.
