I want powered speakers only. No passive at all.

Boy that does bring up an interesting scenario. Because there is no way I am lugging 130lbs + up stairs either. Hmmmmm....could the 750P do the job on their own..say the Bose failed?

I'm not talking bout schools. Mainly simple bar bookings and small weddings. (felt the need to clarify the intentions of use)

This might start a firestorm but fact is fact the 750s will eat the Bose at half volume with plenty of bottom end.

And yo better find some real strong suckers....:sqwink:
 
Take them out on rental and give them a try. I wasn't a big fan of Yorkeville until I heard the NX series and the only think I have heard that compares to the 800s is CV earthquakes or mabye some EV gear
 
Wait a minute. so you have the 1530's which can be used as one system. You have the Bose Stick as another and you have the 450's even if the 1501 is not perfect you have three systems then add in the Pyle of..... Really four systems. The Pyles would get you through in a Pinch but only if necessary. I have my Dynacords and a pair of SXA 100s as my backup. They wont replace the Dyna's but they will get me through with excellent success if ever needed. Oh and Adam I ran the Italian 450's for four yrs often times without a sub which if needed I was renting one. I also rented the NX Yorkies as addition for wide spread rooms and didnt think they compared to my Mackies in over all sound.
 
In regards to Jeffs comments on the LS800's They boom for sure much like the Earthquakes but in my DHO they dont hold a candle to tone that CVs ever had. The trouble with powered subs is the old comment I have made over the years. Most often even if it is a big loud pound it sounds like an old man farting in a coffee can. I chose my system with the subs cause of the nice solid tonal thump they provide. RCF, FBT are the closest until I found my dream system. Go Canadiens.

As a side note the 15" drivers inside the NX750's are RCF's. Made in Italy baby.

Jeff is 100% correct. Two NX750's sound awesome without the use of a sub. You can run them at 1/2 volume for 6 hours straight with a mix of any music. The speakers barely get warm. In a bar environment they will do the job and more.

You are absolutely correct, NX750's will do a decent job without adding a sub. For Sweet Sixteen B-Day parties (outdoors) at family residence the NX750's were plenty. Of course for larger venues I add my LS801PB sub to the NX750PB's and that system does crank! But...the LS801 is heavy but has wheels. Nevertheless, trying to pull it up a flight of stairs will take two people...one pulling and one pushing from the bottom.

Art I love my 750's. I am ordering a set of the Elite E1152's because I want to build another passive rig. These tops will compliment 2 LS700p subs. This will be my Signature Series system for my upper crust events. The NX 750's if I don't sell them will be my stand alone backyard/bbq/bar system. I love them and don't really want to part with them. I just booked 2 more parties for June and may just keep them and use the proceeds from the 2 parties to cover my purchase.

My third rig is a set of RCF 325i's and 2 LS800p subs. It's part passive and powered set up. All of my passive stuff are powered by QSC PLX amps. I love what we do for a living. Yorkville hands down is my brand for life.
 
DJ John The 1, those E1152 will eat your LS700P subs. Those tops put out a heck of a lot of bass, I doubt that adding the subs will benefit you in any way. The E2152's absolutely pound! I dropped into a local high school dance where the student DJ's were using a 1152 on top of a 2152 on each side of their set-up with no subs; they pounded!

:sqbiggrin: I had a single York 700PB but felt it was not enough...just the one...to match up with the two 750P. So, I traded it in against the LS801PB plus some cash. I'm very happy with only the one LS801P. Doubt I will get another 801P unless I upgrade the 750's, but I'd rather not do that just yet.

:sqrolleyes:My wedding setup is all powered RCF 200 Arts (12") and ART800 subs (15"). They also double for Ceremony use...and if that's the case, I use the 750's for the Reception with the RCF subwoofers.

I ultimately my goal is the ZX5 route? I think that's the unit (1000 Watts ea)?
