No, he didn't. Mike specifically said he has never owned an Apple device. You on the other hand, have. I am almost certain that if Mike spent any time with an iPad, he would love it.Mike nailed it for me.
You have to go through Apple if you want anything loaded on there or to do anything else.
Actually, you don't. I have many things on my iPad (music, pictures, movies, etc) that were not purchased from Apple. The Apple Store is nothing more than an MFR approved and supported listing of software available from MANY sources. Vendors sell stuff on the Apple Store - very similar to where you'd buy things on other devices. Through iTunes and totally disconnected from any Internet), I can use my iPad as a usb drive. Considering you're technological skills and knowledge, using iTunes as a central management tool would actually be better and safer for you.
You do have to use iTunes for some things - but this is not any different from some hardware released by Microsoft.
Do you know why this so?
Some of this is to protect the device. If you can't see it, you can't break it. I wonder how quick Lenovo will be willing to help when they discover you broke something. In addition, Lenovo will NOT help you with 3rd party support. Again, good luck. In my opinion, you didn't upgrade, you downgraded.
I can tell you. The owner of the company was willing to let people get whatever they wanted for free, just buy his product. The government wouldn't allow him to do so. So he decided to fix the government and this is what he did.
The owner of the company? Apple is a publicly held company, so the owners are the people that own stock. Just because you own an Apple device, doesn't mean you get whatever you want for free. You have to buy products, the same as anywhere else. Not sure how he 'fixed' the Government .. when they also purchase and use Apple products.
