The drive rack has more options (and parameters to set) but eliminates the need for the other gear listed.

The Kosmos is cheaper much more simplified and gives you a decent sound, automatically cuts at 90 hertz for the sub bass can be left in the mains or cut from them a matter of choice (but it is much better to cut it) There is a low cut if you want to use it. The Kosmos or the drive rack either one are pretty much set and forget.
 
Great. Simple is what I'm after, inexpensive it terrific. I'm sure the EV DC-One is awesome but it's about $1,000 which is way out of my ability. I'm a small one man operation and haven't even barely gotten things off the ground yet. I can now get some decent sound out my system and that's a confidence booster.
 
True. Low cut is important as it will save amp power.

An example: A pair of dually 15s is rated at say, 60 Hz at the low end. There's no need to feed frequencies below 55 Hz to these cabinets because they can't reproduce them anyhow. If you set your lows rolloff for the dually 15s at 55 Hz, you'll have more headroom in your amps to thump the house. Go any lower than that and you're wasting amp power.

Some amps and processors have low cut switches or controls. This option is available to eliminate useless live sound rumble that can come from hollow wooden stages (travels up through the mic stand) or wind noise from mics.
 
That's what I was asking about Fred! I had read about it and since I'm only working with 500w per side I figured this would be a helpful feature. I noticed that when I turned the bass way up, the little red limiter light would flash when big thumps came through. When I saw that I baked it off a little until no more red flicker. I also noticed when I hooked up my crappy speakers they could make the limiter light flash a lot easier than my EV speakers and at a lower volume level. Those EVs are some sweet little cabs. I don't think I'll get rid of them even if I get some better speakers or powered speakers. They really crank for small speakers.
