How To Hook Up Cables In Your Rack.

i just learned through necessity lol.. i used to not have racks just show up stack amps up then run XLRs and then speaker cables.. It was a mess to say the least. I did this to save time.. now all i do is roll rack into place, hook up power, Main XLR outputs from my mixer to rack and then speaker cables from rack to speakers and done. Once equipment is in place i need about 10 minutes to do everything else and Im playing

My speaker cables stay inside of my racks already connected to the Amp ends. All other connections are pre connected with a harness/snake for other external components.
You did a good job with yours.

Thanks Canute! I still hadn't been brave enough to tackle soldering an XLR lol I buy all mine premade.. I will give it a try one day soon though..

Soldering isnt just melting solder on to a joint and expecting it to hold. Most often those end up as cold solders. Proper wire insulation cut, thinning, flux flow and heat are paramount. The bare wire connection should be pretty secure before even solder is applied and the joint should be bright and shiny when finished. I may make a Video.

i will give it a try soon.. I have a lot of experience welding.. But soldering electronics is kind of a whole new thing for me
