How mich do you spend downloading music

I download remixes all the time. I try to play as many remixes as I can at my events. Promo only and all those others come as you hear it on the radio. There are many great remixes out there if you search that are far better then just playing the usual songs.

That's cool for us but, most of the time when I play a Remix... or something that just wouldn't make airplay even if I like it I get this kind of look :sqconfused: and then usually a shrug of the shoulder.... some get it though.
As for what I spend I would hazard a guess durring the season I may spend between 50-60 on downloaded music alone...
About $20.00 on Itunes, this is to cover the fillers for each event if needed.
Another $70.00 on subscriptions.
$40.00 on remixes from House music sites.
So about 130.00 will cover my monthly music expenses. I consider myself full time but the recession makes me feel like it's part time.

I hear you Rob, yes that happens to me also some are just use to listening to the original version.
Rob,
You need to announce something as you start playing it, especially if it starts up different. Little things like these are what will set you aside from the rest.
you mean something like "Yo yo yo... here's a remix by DJ Wiseazz.... check it!"
Ok sorry didn't mean to derail.... but, honestly anything I might say to announce a new track would sound like some old white dude who ain't down on that scene... I'd have no idea how to announce it... not my style.

I have a subscription to a Canadian music supply company, MMS. Other than that, I only buy a track here or there on-line. I just bought a couple tracks from the O'Neill Brothers. I still buy CD's as well that I can rip as needed. Us AVLA licensed Canadians are even allowed to rip our friends CD's or even those from the library. We just have to know where they came from. They also have to be original store bought type CD's, no compilations.
