The first one is twice the price of the one I suggested. The second one is unavailable. It still is available in my town. Also, keep in mind that a higher velocity fan may also have a bigger power draw... something you DON'T want, especially when working outdoors where electrical service can be sketchy.

Also, the amount of velocity doesn't matter. At the '1' setting, the fan I use moves more than enough air to keep me cool. On the '3' setting, you can give everyone on the dance floor an instant bad hair day. The tall one has louvres that you can adjust and you point it towards you or from the side.

I've had mine for about 4 years.

Had one in mid August a few years back at a rod and gun club with NO air conditioning. We introduced the b/g, they did one short dance, and all the suits and ties were immediately removed.
Was a "sitting and listening" party for the rest of the night.
Between rain and heat, I'm surprised ANYONE does outdoor weddings in the summer!

I did an outdoor reception on July 11th. Under a tent but the air temp. was 95 degrees and I had my back to the West. Went to my van and got my little fan and the side curtains to our easy up tent. Affixed the side curtains to the posts of the tent and stretched them out as far as I could. Even standing behind the "shade", I was well roasted by events end. Also....no one danced. It was too d**n hot.

I think I'm pretty much done with outdoor weddings after this year. Before you go barkin' down my tree, lemme 'splain.

The AC is never reliable. I get to my events well in advance and I call it a "sweat box" - 80+ in the room before the venue manager hits it on.

One venue here does all of their weddings in a barn type outdoor venue. No AC, just fans...No more events there for me. After I left there recently, I automatically 86'd them!

I also sweat like a fu**ing pig. Is there a way not to sweat too much? Im ust go through 2-3 pitchers of water in the 4-5 hour span. I might as well go back into the restaurant biz...

I bring 4-5 kitchen towels with me at all times. This helps..Kinda..

No fan here of outdoor weddings...Pun intended.

lol thats a temp we get in winter here sometimes 90 °F = 32.222222 °C

42 °C = 107.6 °F

is out normal days here at times in summer
the hotest locally we have had was

about 45 °C = 113 °F

so its not the heat you should worry about its the humidity .......
