I have the original iPad and just wanted to know how to put some video on it? Right now i have a slide show on it and just wanted to in time add video to it. So what do i do? Please be kind as i'm not a computer geek.

It has to be converted to a specific format with a tool like Hand Brake. Handbrake has a preset for iPads. Load the video file into Hand Brake and select the iPad preset then hit start. This process can take anywhere from a few minutes to a couple of hours depending on the length of the video and power of your computer.
Take the converted video and load it into iTunes. Once copied it will appear under movies and sync it to your iPad.

I think he means how does it get ON the iPad.... easiest way I have found is email it to yourself and download it. maybe I didn't see what he was saying, though.
I use a Mac.
I load the movie into iMovie.
Once there, select it in iTunes to get it transferred to the iDevice.
Then it will show up in your videos app library.
