I have a Pioneer EFX 500 that i haven't used in a while. I decided to bring it out of retirement. The effects on VDJ are ok but i really like the effects better on the Pioneer EFX 500 much better. I need help with hooking it up since i haven't used it in a while.

Here's what i use now. I have 2 Yamaha DSR 115 tops and 2 DSR 118 subs. I have the Denon DN MC 6000. The Pioneer works because the meters light up. I just need to know how to hook it up so the effects will work? What cables do i need to get it hooked up properly? Thanks all.

Mix - Effects are normally patched in (or inserted) on the outputs of the mixer if it is to be used for all inputs, or on a single input if just for that device. Many mixers have master insert points before the left/right output .. your Denon unfortunately does not have inserts or an effect send function. If you put it on the unbalanced RCA outputs, then you will be going unbalanced out to your speakers, which is not optimum (can pick up noise). If you want to use it with a single input (say a cd player), you would plug the cd into the effector and the effector into the Denon input.

Traktor has much more effects which are all assignable to its four Decks. They are also very effective.
