Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I was down at the local DJ store today and they had the new Grundorf Facade on display.
After looking it over and comparing it to the Dragon Board I will say that they have something going in their design and construction. Everything looks professional on their facade, no erroneous materials, clean cuts on the outside framing, a nice light weight design. And their front-plastic panels....
They have to be one of the most cool looking things I have seen in a while, They had a light shining on 1 side and the other with no light on it. The material they use is great at taking the light and dispersing it throughout the panel so it's a nice even glow across the entire panel, I didn't notice any 'hot' or 'cold' spots and that was with a single LED parcan.
And with no light the facade looks just as amazing, they have a smokey, silver, black, clear color to the plastic panels so you can't see through them, but they aren't so bold they stick out and look out of place.
They are made of some really heavy duty panels as well, and they are 'corrugated' as well for some added rigidity and strength. You might even say 'ribbed' for your pleasure. Cost was a bit of a concern at first when they originally announced the product, but I know Ben and the folks at Grundorf came down quite a bit on price and for what you are getting, I would say spend the money, you won't regret it. I doubt you will be able to make a facade to their specs and quality for anything near the price.
