That's what's up...I live in Paris, but kick it mostly in the Dallas area....

There are quite a few texans here. Lets just face it, us Texan DJ's are the best... We invented country music ;)

I am from the Beaumont area, free lunch if you visit on by.

Free lunch.... Dude, how you know I was a fat boy... You got my attention...lol Texas DJ's are a breed of their own... Cuz of contury...lol I DJ' of and on at a local bar/club. And Beat matching and mixin' Country, rap and hip hop together is a trip.

And Thank you for the welcome people...

2An welcome we will embrace even you Texans. We are cool like that. Leave the country at the door however lol j/k.
Enjoy a wonderful home of fun sharing folks.

Thanks for the welcome Jon Tuck.... I wish I could leave the country alone... but it's Texas and if you want gigs... you got to be able to mold into the paying party...lol

I mostly love Rap, Hip-Hop, R&B, Rock, Techno, and Trance. But I love doing all the old car shows I get the chance to Rock out the 50s... I know at my age what do I know about the 50s...lol

I learned at an early age in my DJ experience yes (30+ yrs worth) that it takes a lot of constant diligent work to keep up with oldies and all the way up to tomorrows hits today. All genres etc in between. Keep studying and it will bring much success. Trust an old dawgs words of wisdom.

Honestly I love all music and even love Country. It all has been a blessing in life for me I have made most of my living over the yrs with every genre of fun party music. I know some old DJs who dont know a lick about oldies. Keep up the adventure you will do well.

Well John of the 10 years of doing this, I have learned that sometimes having the harddrives full of music from the 40s up till now is nice. You never know when someone is going to ask you have something, or when you got a gig for a wide range of people.

Speaking of Harddrives, what form of music is everyone useing. I just got into computer DJ'ing and I still work off of CDs and some plates but the freedom of having tons of music in one back pack is nice....

I use a WD My Book 500 gig External which has served me well. Last Friday I dropped it about 3 ft onto concrete and thought it would be toast. I plugged it back in and walla back in business. Costco regularly has a killer deal on them and I like the casing and performance thus far.

Right on... that sounds great thinks for that. I have been looking at the books as well. I got three 320HDs in cases... nuthin' specail but I am looking into knocking them three down to two... I think two 500s would be great...

Thank you.... I will enjoy the stay. I have gotten quit a bit of info and can't wait for more... The only way to get better is to keep meeting everyone...

Belated Welcome 2AN!
