As for the Behringer Inuke NU-3000, it's only 6 months old so Behringer DOES have an obligation to me to repair or replace the amplifier. I contacted the company that I ordered it from-Unique Squared- and they are an authorized Behringer dealer so it's Kosher. I have a receipt showing that I bought the amp from them with the date, company logo, shipping date etc. I asked Behringer what is the warranty period and they told me NOW they are giving a three year warranty. I don't know what products that applies to or if it's even true, but that's what I was told.

I'll be taking it Monday to the authorized repair center specified by Behringer which happens to be a local company.

From your first post you said it was bought on the internet and was not from an authorized dealer but since they are then they will fix it for you. As for warranty Behringer does now have a 3 year warranty. Wiz do you keep your amps in a rack or some sort of a case? If not I suggest you get one.
 
Yes, I have a nice SKB slant top rack with just a power conditioner and the amp. On top there is a piece of plexiglass where I put either my mixer or my laptop depending on the situation. It looks a lot more professional using the rack and it protects my amp-it also gives me a raised platform for the mixer or laptop. I got it about 2 years ago.
 
One thought. You mentioned that you'd driven the nuke harder than you ever had before, correct? I really wonder if these ultra-light amps need to be driven hard. I'm using Peavey IPR3000s and although they haven't given me a hint of problem I still don't think I'd tap them out. I think the most I've hit them is about 50% capacity. Just a thought. It probably also underlines that you need a 2nd unit as backup.

There's a reason for feeding subs peak power and my mains 75% of peak power the amps never run hard. Hearing problems will probably arise with the guests if driven all out. So you run half throttle and nobody is overworked.
 
I agree with Doc!

These little miracle amps will never win my trust. I guess for small gigs and ceremony rigs they could cut it. I guess you will sell the amp after you get it repaired? Another reason why I like to invest in amps with strong resale value. Good luck with the new amp.
 
I DO need a backup amp and that's why I want to get the GTDaudio M-4500.

As far as driving the Inuke too hard, I doubt that's the issue-although anything is possible-but the problem is with the channel B input. It's not with the outputs. My hunch is that there is a cold solder joint, bad jack or other similar issue on the input side. I finished the gig at the casino where I had it cranked up with no problems or equipment failure as far as I know. It was when I set my gear up in my house to make sure everything was working properly and to do some rehearsing that I noticed the problem.
