SINCE YOU OPENED YOUR TRAP AGAIN ASSUMING THINGS, LET ME SAY THIS. I would have asked specific questions before talking about any money. First I would ask the person to give me their name. Next the type of event and date of the event. Location of the event and how many hours do you need us to perform the event? What music do you want played at the event and then decide if I want to agree to do the event before even giving a price quote. Those are basic standard questions I would ask to feel for things. Oh I did forget another question. Who is the event for. When it's a wedding I would like to know the age of the couple getting married. That way I get an idea of which way to go handling the wedding., but not any better or any more professionally and of that I have little if any doubt.
make up your mind!!! LOL

Why not? Your just having an ego feed last min. gig!So I would want to make sure a venue is doing things properly and just helter skelter just to make some money.
You don't even charge a living wage and you want things to be covered?Just want to make sure everything on our end is covered.
As much as people frustrate me,
I joined this forum to get help when I need it...
and give help when I can.
Some people don't accept (or appreciate) help as well as others.
[NOT SARCASM]
To begin with I didn't get the call and accept doing the event. Honestly the way I'm feeling now since it's been months since we've done any events the price is ok. To get to the venue is less than 1,000 feet and its for 3 hours. Just time to at least get back to doing at least one event in this tough time right now.You don't even charge a living wage and you want things to be covered?
Police don't just show up at a wedding!
You just keep trying to BS us and we keep laughing.
I haven't charged $400 for a gig since I was in high school and 16 years old. That was THIRTY SIX YEARS AGO! You are a grown man... charge enough to make a living and support yourself.
So I assume you've upped your $400 quote to $650 since the time increased 66% from 3 to 5 hours?I just found out the time is 6-11pm and it's for a brother of a wedding we did a while ago. Just finalizing the details.
Triggered, I get it.I enjoy your "obvious foolishness".
I love your sarcasm.
I admire your wit.
But, you don't know anything about my ethnic background.
In this case...I just didn't appreciate your choice of words.
I don't think you do ...Triggered, I get it.
What you "think", aka presuppose, is not part of this exchange.I don't think you do ...
