This last saturday I met with a potential bride/groom. For one hour we sat and talked. In reality I could have said just sign here and they would have without me even going into a sales pitch.

The venue manager highly recommends us and even the staff talked to them about us. They also had some friends who saw us. All these folks bragged about how well we did. This couple said they just knew they had to have us.

The moral...take care of the venues and provide a service to customers and it comes back 10 fold. The effort we put in is starting to pay off. Ive been a little stunned at how easy this one was. Now if they were all that easy. To take a line from the show The A Team.....dont ya just love it when a plan comes together. So before I hurt myself the back patting can now stop. Its just refreshing to know your on the right path.

Don:

Absolutely.

We have one local caterer that basically works two venues. If they aren't at one, they're at the other.

They exclusively recomend us because they see how well we work with our clients and we also treat them very well. They are on my recommended vendor list.

Anyway, we just booked a client through them. The client had actually scheduled another date but we were booked solid and, based solely on what that caterer had said about us, changed their date to one we were available on. That's a first.

When I talked to the client, they were very disappointed that we were booked and the groom started asking about other dates. The next one he named was open. He told me that we were now booked. My jaw hit the floor. I asked him if he was moving the date just to book with us and he explained that he had already seen us and when the caterer mentioned us that cinched it for them. He also explained that he got a range of dates from the caterer and venue nad that was just hours ago.

I had the contract and full payment back within hours.

I keep telling myself that this is a fluke but this kind of thing can make a guy bigheaded, LOL.

Tom I know what you mean. I always end by sliding the contract over to them telling them. Now if you think were the best ones just sign the contract and send it back with the retainer. They signed it and paid in full. OK that was a first for me. Right there on the spot. I really dont want to sound like Im bragging but its just an incredible feeling when something like this happens.
