I'll sayh this much about Gemini first. They have gotten better over the years. All of their stuff used to be crap. Some of it is actually good.

With that said we all have certain brands we like over others. Some like Mackie and others like JBL. Some like Yamaha and others like QSC. And so on. Can you please tell me what brand and model of speakers you use? That's not to be harsh or anything.

Let me ask this again since i asked it in another thread. Are you happy with the gear you have and are your clients and guest happy with what you use? Like i said that's what counts the most. If you're not happy with what you're using, what do you feel you need to replace with what?
 
I have as my backup a Numark CD Mix 2 along with my EV SXA-100+ powered speakers. The Gemini Microphone along with various other backups. I have the Denon 900 mixer with the HD2500 controller and 4500 CD decks Powered by a Dynacord Power sub 315 and a second Dynacord 15 matching along with two VL262 Dynacord tops. Most likely you will be familiar with it but most will attest that it is premium gear that without the recognizable name gets raves from my clients and many wondering what they are. Its basically the same footprint but has very powerful and properly toned acoustics with a big tonal Thump which moves amazing air from those subs. Oh and recently I have been working off of a Vestax controller.

Ok great stuff. I definately know about the Denon 900. We had the Denon 500 switching from a Numark mixer. You could hear the difference! Thanks man. Especially that clients and guest like the way it sounds.

I've always thought GEM SOUND was a cheapo brand!
If I am wrong, my apologies.
If I am right, perhaps you shouldn't use it as an example of quality gear...

My partner bought that system. I wasn't there. You're right about it being junk. I wouldn't buy it for Shure. (pun intended).
 
It's only junk if it doesn't work. If it works and is cheap, it's a bargain. I have lots of bargains. I also have some expensive junk.
