You might try to see if you can find this material that is on our portable folding ramp, we've used it for over 6 years and it's held up very well.

One can use Magnetic signage that can be removed when and if necessary.

Though many trailers are sheet aluminum on the outside, so non-magnetic.

On the trailer ramp, you may be better off with the anti-slip tape strips (there are pre-cut stair sized pieces at HD/Lowes) instead of the rubber. Had a friend with the corrugated rubber down the ramp and if it was slushy or rainy, the water collected between the ribs and when you closed the gate, was flung into the trailer. So if you use it, run the channels so the water runs down and out.

That is exactly what I am looking into putting down.

Thanks Steve, great tip. Will keep that in mind when I install it.

That is a good point Steve made. In that case I would use the Diamond Style as running the other one the other way will defeat the purpose of the "ribs".

Even if you leave it completely AS IS...
you got a great deal on it.

OK, so while not 100% finished the way I want the final product I got the new gear trailer in service. Still a few more enhancements to make, but for all practical purposes it is in use. Parked out side O'Lacy's in Summerville this past Saturday night for a karaoke gig; about 45 minutes form the end of the party and I notice a lot of people outside staring in the direction of where we parked the trailer. I try to brush it off; but then the bartender went outside and looked, when she came back in she came to me and said "you better go look outside". My heart sank, I go outside and see the following.

Now you cannot see it in this picture; but, about 4 more feet behind car is my new trailer. he had to come within just a few feet of smashing my trailer and destroying stuff inside. The cops cannot figure out how he missed it; but, even more puzzling is the lamp post that went through his back window without going through the front. There are a few more pics here:

Anyway, Merry Christmas everyone. Hope to post a better post about the engagement party I worked at this past Subnday. Have a safe holiday!
