Paradise City by GNR - Played it as a request at a family reunion last weekend. I actually forgot it was a 6 min+ song till I started playing it LOL

I dont think these were singles, but I have a few favorite Styx songs that are 6 min+

From Styx II - A Day = 8:24 and Father O.S.A = 7:07 (both great 'listening' songs
From Equinox - Suite Madam Blue = 6:31
From Grand Illusion - Castle Walls = 5:58 (so close, but another great 'listening' song)

Master of puppets....when sang standing on head:tribiggrin:

Damn it's nice to be back in the office on a computer with a screen I can actually read!

I was online from my show tonight on my little net book 10" screen, I remembered why I didn't like it!

that is one nice thing about working in radio...
I got a bunch of colored vinyl, picture disks, and radio-only 12-inchers in the basement....

somewhere!

I'm sure we all feel the same way about a car we once owned, too!

Use to love how a mate and I did the
New Order Song - Blue Monday when it first came out, for over 30mins in one play

they thought it was that long!!!!

so thats why I dont use them for longer than 5mins

My apologies.. the Elton John I linked earlier wasn't a single.

Here's another one that was:

YouTube- ?American pie- Don McLean?‎

Those two Elton John songs are never played separately, so it's OK.

American Pie? Funny. When I first started, I had it on a 45. Part 1 on side A, part 2 on side B. I used to play a "We're experiencing technical difficulties" while flipping the disc!

My personal favorites?

Mind you, there was no mention of "to play at an event".

Anything from Harry Chapin's live album.
