Trying to decide if I want to pay the $2.50 fee for this one. Long day, and I wonder if they have a decent budget.

Well at least if the lead didn't pan out you could ask them for a refund on your 2.50 if done within thirty days of the lead purchase.... if ya really wanted to hassle for your 2.50 that is.

I've had four leads from them so far 2 I had to decline because I was already booked and 2 that I did purchase..... but never booked....

I think of the the pay sites this one is one of the better ones.... as it's not a wedding centric site and caters to a wide range of event bookings.
 
I did buy it, and called the guy, he was driving at the time, and ask me to call back after 4:30pm. I called back yesterday afternoon and left a message, never called back. Called again this afternoon, got a voice mail liet a message, never heard back. Oh well, another $2.50 down the drain.

This situation is unsettingly familiar. The last 3 leads I paid for from Eventective followed the same pattern.

1. Called the customer, they say they are busy/driving and to please call back later/tomorrow.

2. Call back at agreed upon time and call goes to voicemail. Leave detailed message, never hear back

3. Call again the next day, leave message, never hear back

Also, the area code of the contact person always seems to be out of state, even though the event is at a local venue.

Thoughts....?

See, while there may be legitimate leads from time to time, I am firmly entrenched in the belief that the vast majority of these pay per lead sites are fraudulent. Only one I have any real faith in as far as being mostly legit is Wedding Wire.

I can tell you for fact that Eventective is not... I work at a hotel and have had valid leads from Eventective book the hotel for youth sports events in the area.

Maybe it is, or maybe it isn't... see Ronster's response.... could be some "padding" going on, as well as some legitimate leads.
 
one thing is you can have the 2.50 reinstated. For 2.50 you can play the game until you get a solid lead and if you think of it glass half full your in fact practicing your sales offering more times than previous.

Fake jobs...

I've wondered this before too, when the area code was out of state, but this one is a local number and his voice mail message has the name and his company name that matches his email address. Oh yeah also sent an email asking a couple of question like is it really 9 hours, no response on the email either, and it is a company email address.
 
wow a 9hr party

now that would be a lot more than the normal 6hr wedding that I do

I get the most ridiculous leads from Eventective; I doubt half of them are even real. This is one of them.

Funny how many of them look the same and 90 percent of them do not include phone numbers...
 
I have spent about $30 on leads from that company & NOT ONE SINGLE prospect called me back or emailed me. (We didn't even talk price yet!)

Personally I think it's competing DJs jerking each other around/Fishing for info.
I doubt I will participate in seeking anymore leads from them.
