Just curious to see what phone OS you prefer? I prefer Android. If you use a phone with something else, please let us know what you use!

I started with iPhones, but I made the switch to the Google pixel line of devices about 5 years ago. At the time their camera was absolutely destroying the iPhone, particularly in low light. I also really enjoy that I can set a default music player that is not Apple's own product.

The iPhone camera caught up, of course. But now I just like ruining group texts for my friends.

We switched over to Apple iPhones about 7 years ago. Now everyone in the family has multiple ipads along with their iPhone. I have 3 working Ipads and 9 out 10 of the things I do personal and business are done on them. It's all about integration and ease of use. For computers, we are all PCs but I did have a Mac Mini which I gave to my son after wanting to throw it out the window. That I replaced with a ipad Pro.

I gave my son my Google Pixel 3XL phone that I had. I had the screen fixed, and battery replaced in it over a year ago. The only issue I had with my Pixel is that it would randomly shut down, and take any where from 35 to 75 minutes to reboot. It would usually do it WHILE I WAS OUT DELIVERING FOR DOOR DASH using the Door Dash App. It only did it 4 times, and after the phone was over 18 months old, but after the 4th time I chose to switch back to Samsung. I hope that glitch was fixed on the newer models. The value you receive on the Pixel is superior to the Galaxy and I phones IMO considering the price difference. My next phone will likely be a Pixel phone.

I had the original IPhone when it first came out cost $500. People were standing in line to get it. I waited till the price came down to $100. I can't remember what happened to that phone. I'm strictly an Android user today. No more Apple anything. Their Ipads to me are well over priced and what I remember the IPhone has certain features that require you only can use an Apple product with the IPhone. I don't use a tablet today even though I have a couple.

But see... I'm not. Apple is.

Apple is refusing to switch to RCS which is more secure and robust because they believe (I suspect) that the social pressure on us "Green Bubbles" is going to encourage people to convert to iPhone so that their friends don't make fun of them.

It leads to actual shaming among young people who are pressured by that. This is particularly sad for families that can't otherwise afford these phones.

They are enforcing one of the prime reasons that I'm not using their phones by doing this.

I'll be clear... I own a lot of Apple stuff. I'm typing this very message on a MacBook Pro from my office. So I haven't removed myself from their ecosystem. But, I'm also not beholden to them.

I get it. I'm just poking fun is all. There are ways around it using GroupMe, WhatsApp, etc. and you could be device agnostic. My older parentals, etc have a hard time just working different apps. Apple makes life easier on having everyone on the same platform. Apple 'likes' to hold out on utilizing protocols unless they develop them themselves and when they finally do come around act likes its best thing since sliced bread. A la adding features brought in from jailbroken iPhones back in the day.

I do like the open OS of Android and sometimes want to switch over but the Apple Mac/OS ecosystem is really nice (and that's how they get you too)

I use Apple simply because it's what I'm used to. I have no particular love of the company itself. It's really odd when I use an android OS I feel like an idiot it seems like everything is backwards on it.

My Ipad died a while back and my wife has 2 Samsung tablets I have just started using one recently when I get time to really toy with it over the winter I may have to switch over
