Hey guys I'm always looking for ways to appeal to the ladies and other clients. This is an exact copy of my online ceremony and reception planner. But set up as a demo which I can easily delete if you guys get to crazy. I just wanted to put it out there to show you what I'm doing and how I'm doing it. I thought you folks might like it. So here is the link. I've been working on the color scheme ect etc to make it more bride appealing. And yes the logo stays they should at least know who there DJ is.

They don't call them purse strings for nothing my brother. :sqeek: I would say 95 percent of what we do are weddings and 90 percent of the people we talk to are the brides or the mother of the bride or groom or a girl friend of the bride.

Definitely talk to the girlfriend of the Bride, the Bride's taken, the mother, well...... the girlfriend........ummmmmmm, she is all fired up with enthusiasm for her friend the Bride (Like a leaning tree waiting to be tipped over!)
Back to the regular scheduled program. LOL

it looks great but for me a bit too busy. Im not a bride yet though so dont count my opinion to heavily. LOL

I would make the logo way smaller and also try it with a transparent background(the logo that is) I like the colors you are using!

*Update: Well I kind of changed my mind about your logo. It looks good that big for that particular page. I was worried that when a client would go to print thier planner that the logo would remain that size (had that happen on my dji) so when your client printed the form out they didnt get just your logo on the first printed page.

I filled out the form very briefly and went to print my planner and you have a smaller logo thier. So now I think what you have is fine. I would still give the logo transparency a try

OK Shane give it a look. I have made the logo smaller and more transparent. Give it a look

Let me frist say that when I commented on the logo size I originally was thinking to myself that when your client would go to print that planner that the logo would still be that large size. After posting I decided to go back to your page and enter some info and hit the print my planner button to test it out and your printed page had a smaller logo, which kind of defeated my reason for telling you to resize it............

Now here are my thoughts on its current appearance at 4:43pm eastern time:

The logo could still be smaller, imho. When I click on your link
(here at work on a 1024x768 resolution) I get a page that appears to be 90%just your logo, I honestly didnt seen the buttons on the page right away and at first glance it just looked like a page with a huge logo on it, then I noticed that I could scroll down and actually see a planning form. So that makes me think maybe your clients could just as easily get confused .........

Next.......

I suggested making your logo transparent so that visitors can see the background of your page more. I also have not see where you have made your logo transparent. I also can see from a designers point of view that getting you logo to be transparent with the gradient used in your logo would be difficult to get a good looking version.

I'm definitely agreeing with the comments about the logo. That was the first thing I thought when I opened the page.

Also, I would suggest preventing the background from repeating. It's redundant and removing the repeated background will make it look a little cleaner, in my opinion.

Looks great! Nice additions to the logo! The only thing I would change - and nothing to do with the logo - are the colors of the djintelligence tabs. The first four tabs, "print my planner, save my planner, etc" are in a color that is not flattering to the rest of the page or your logo. And the tabs (?) that start below that - "general information" are in another blue that does not match your logo or compliment it. I would either see if you can match BOTH tab areas to the purple that is in your logo or make them ALL black with white text. (this will compliment the black that is in the butterfly) That TOTALLY stood out to me and my girlfriend when we first loaded the page. I also think that more complimenting colors in those two areas that I mentioned will actually make it look "less busy" as Tuck pointed out, without actually even deleting or changing anything.

Ok the logo is now smaller and more transparent. I will try and work on button colors. I do not believe that DJI allows you to have it set for one image to span every thing. I think it takes a single image and does it like this. Thus some peoples reason for putting up smaller items or single colors for backgrounds. I also changed a few other things colors and font color and put a little shine on the border.
