some might havent a clue to my message but it s from me to Dan.
Hamlet: To be, or not to be -- that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them. To die -- to sleep --
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heartache, and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to. 'Tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd. To die -- to sleep.
To sleep -- perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub!
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause. There's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life.
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
Th' oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely,
The pangs of despis'd love, the law's delay,
The insolence of office, and the spurns
That patient merit of th' unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? Who would these fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death --
The undiscover'd country, from whose bourn
No traveller returns -- puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all,
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pith and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry
And lose the name of action. -- Soft you now!
The fair Ophelia! -- Nymph, in thy orisons
Be all my sins rememb'red.:sqwink:

Dan McKay Has Left Us

Yesterday at 3:07PM Dan McKay left our world to perform for a much higher calling.

Deven and his family are doing as well as expected. More details will be post once I can gather my thoughts.

My prayers go out to his family in this time of need may he REST IN PEACE.

I think I met him once in Vegas.
I remember that he like to "mix things up" on the chat boards.

It's too bad. How old was he. What was the cause of death?

Dan McKay had cancer as I understand. There is another thread here about his illness, started before he passed away.

As Fred said....right? ;)

Anyway - Yes, Dan had cancer - unsure what type, that he beat 5 years ago & it came back. Apparently he was told it was terminal & he opted not to do radiation/chemo since it would only prolong the inevitable.

Sad - but looking at the fact he was told 6-12 months, but has passed a month later.

Yeah I am SAD of Dans passing RIP DAN McKay 2010

he entertained us all for many years

now when you hear that loud THUNDER Clap,
thats Dan breaking a few Speakers up there with God and having fun doing it :)

You never know when your time will come.

Here in Phoenix, a fellow ADJA member (in his 40s) had bad stomach pains & became quite weak. He thought it was an ulcer...he went to the Doctor & they did tests. He found out he had Pancreatic cancer. He died 3 weeks after finding out.

Our local ADJA members helped cover his upcoming gigs & gave all the money to his family. Covering those gigs took the additional stress off his widow.

Rest in Peace,Mr. Dan McKay. God Bless his friends and family!

Sad news . . .

We will all miss him around the chats.
