Hey Rookie- take down those skinny Home Theater sorround sound speakers and just leave the EV's. I know your hurting for more sound but anything made for consumer use just aint cuttin it.
A+ on the effort to cut holes in them so you can mount them like a real "Pro" speaker, very creative!:sqwink::sqlaugh:

Very nice, happy to see you got your dream system going. How did they perform?

and you may ask where are my cables. They are there but neatly secured with black velcro straps.

How did an old man like you get that sub up on the stage? Lol... Sorry, I couldn't resist!

Looks great Jon, very clean, but why the heck did you need to bring the EV's along? Two tops and the sub should have been fine for an elementary school dance. If you are going to run four tops in the future, angle the outside ones outwards and you won't get the highs cancelling each other out or the weird phasing issues.

How did the sub sound up on the stage?

Glad to see you put the Dyna's to work, even if you didn't have faith in them to do it on their own... Oooh, I did it again! Lol

I figured for the first effort to take the whole shebang for when I might need it in the future. Was a test run with all the gear. I actually disconnected the EVs after warm up to see if the Dyna could handle it without and it blew me away. OH and by the way I faced them forward for the picture and then when in operating mode faced them outward. The Sub did really well up there though it would have been even more boom if on the ground. Too many rugrats 5-12 yrs of age running around so had to protect my new liability.
Reportcard:A+
Go Dyna

Jon they let you play with children now that you've "graduated".. bravo!

Yea, I'm sure all the little kiddies were highly impressed.:sqwink:
Hey, will those little tiny skinny speakers become Bose L1's when they grow up?:sqcool:

I did an elementary school Monster Bash tonight and I've got another one tomorrow night as well. It's nice to be safe up on stage there Jon. I have to rope off my setup with barbed wire and land mines just to keep myself safe from the little monsters.

I just noticed, what's that blue thing for that's behind your rig?

A tupperware container which is stowed under the table I had my CD's on. Yes The Dynas rock and Ron to let you know the L1's would be advised to grow up to compare tothese little babys. The old adage Dynamite sometimes comes in small packages. One you might relate to........ITs not the size that matters.

OH, slammed!!!:sqeek:

Jon, I was talking about the blue thing in photo 1. It look like it has legs?

What? Dising the Bose? I saw you in Vegas drooling over and practically making love to those tiny littl guys. Or was that Frank and Joe?

Seriously, could you have done that dance with just those to Dynacords? I like the size but I already have to JBL Eon G2 10's.

oh Ron you bugging me cause I had a chair on the stage? Duly noted. Yes indeed the Dynacord system alone easily will cover 500 guests and then some.

Ron you will do fine with those G2's however if ya wanna ever move up to the Maserati call Ben. They will pay themselves off next yr. Though I paid cash up front.

Not sure how many have seen the new Promo Only magazine, but they did a comparison of the new powered speakers coming out.....the Dyno's were the BMW's of the crop! With the Bose next in line. :)

Fine looking setup I'm sure those EV's did the job fine... but, why in the world would you bring out your home theater souround sound speakers much less put them up front for.... wouldn't they have worked better in the back of the room?:sqwink:

Oh wait those are the Dynasaurs right?

Well maybe some day you'll get a Bose system.... hahahahahaha just yankin your chain.

it would have been more but it was very nice even up on stage and when the newest Kanye West was booming it took it and was totally amazing.

Jon you really must buy a real Mirror Ball that Basket Ball hoop just doesn't quite cut it ;)
