I put this in the same category as "Certified Wedding Planner". I highly doubt that any of the goobs who paid big bucks to become certified can honestly say that the cert paid for itself. In our world, you'd be every bit as effective to just make up some "We are Greenie-Weenie Approved" crap and put it on your own materials. Yea, there are airheads who actually might cozy up to the notion but those same airheads will never, ever question your so-called credentials. If the milk is free, why pay for the cow?
I believe here in in Texas you cannot put Certified Wedding Planner on your Website, Literature or Business Cards unless you really are Certified. They can fine you. Just as most people don't know the difference between a Registered Interior Designer and a Decorator. Anyone can be the latter (They have loads of restrictions) but you can be fined for using the former without a license. At least here in Texas.
