It's definitely a closeout. The whole T3 line has been discontinued.

Thanks Steve. I ordered one since I've never owned a DSLR. These are also refurbished. Price is much better than used on ebay.

Let us know how it is. Direct from Canon is also probably marginally better than off eBay.

The kit was packaged just like new. It's working great so far. It didn't include an SD card, but everything else is in the kit. It will take me a while to get just the basics down. I'll just go with auto focus unless I feel like experimenting with manual. Some good tutorials on youtube for newbies like me.
