I never said I can't, I said I don't! I can kiss a woman who has strep throat and not catch it.

Look, up in the sky...

It's a bird, it's a plane -- no it's Super Knut! :p

Well...if it were the flu...what about wearing one of those surgical or contamination masks that cover the mouth area? It probably would look wierd, but at least you would keep from spreading the germs forward. And, I'd have plenty of hand sanatizer or alcohol wipes/kitchen Lysol wipes available for microphone use...if I only had one microphone and it was going to be used for speeches.

Truthfully, I would make contact with an associate DJ that has the date available, then contact the Bride and explain her options; continue with me and not worry about the "bug" being passed along, accept the substitute DJ, refund the Retainer or money that has been previously paid and let her choose her own DJ. But, my Contract does have a contingency clause should I become ill, accident, etc.

Yes I would be there. I have already been there and done that. We have worked on our birthdays and our anniversary as well.

Oh man, I worked on my Anniversary (12/31) a couple of years back. Even with the date paying double I caught h$ll for a solid year. Never again.

What DJ in their right mind would get married on NYE?
Did you FORGET that it's the biggest money night of the year?

Oh wait, I'm talking logically.
Logic goes away as soon as you say, "I do"...

Luckily I've never had to cancel on a client. I had a birthday party to do the day my father died and I showed up. How much more could there have been a reason to call the client telling them what happened and not show up. It was a 50th birthday party and it kept me from thinking too much about my father dying.

Mix you did cancel on a client. You just posted that you no showed a club event. That is canceling on a client.

I do not have the flu, I don't get the Flu. It was just a question

I thought the same thing until this week. I haven't had as much as the sniffles since 2005 but this week threw me on my ass

plus STILL arrived at the wedding 2hrs in and got a round of applause for turning up

below is what the car looked like after the accident

Ric: The flu incubation period with no obvious or apparent flu-like symptoms is generally one and sometimes up to four days. Some people never exhibit symptoms; they're just carriers. On average, once infected, one becomes non-contagious after 4 to 5 days.

In short, maybe ya got it, maybe ya don't. Maybe ya can give it, maybe ya can't. Maybe they got it, maybe they don't.

Wash you hands. Don't rub your eyes. Punch out anybody who sneezes or coughs in your face.

I'd rather err to the side of not infecting someone Cap. The last one was brutal on me -- I honestly thought I was gonna die.

I just think it's common sense, that if you know (or suspect) you have it, not to come into contact with others. And I go out of my way this time of year, to stay at home, and have stuff delivered.

I don't want to get it again, and I don't want to give it if I have it (perhaps I would give to the former step monster just for S&G).
