Bringing my daughter into the Biz

How may of you have family members that work/help you out. I have a fifteen year old daughter that thinks this the coolest job ever. She has been helping me out for about the last year. She lugs gear, hooks it up, dj's and is pretty good at it. She has a little trouble with the old school stuff when there is an older crowd but it learning quick.

I am thinking this might be solution to my second rig in about a year or so. If she want to.

Is there anyone else out there that uses the same option. I can definately trust her to do a professional job.
 
That's how Ducky got started. She was a roadie with her dad and by 13 or 14 she was running the second rig at events where a second one was needed.
 
My boy likes to come out but school comes first. If he can ever get to the point that I want him to, I would gladly let him learn all he needs to. He already knows the setup and how to connect it all and how to run it. He needs to learn the music side of the house but I don't think it would be an issue for him. Again, school comes first.
 
My 17 year old has been helping me for about 2 years now - Not sure if it is the DJ part he likes or the part where all the girls flirt with him - I'm thinking it's the latter!:triwink:

School is definately first at my house also. I don't worry about my daughter too much though. She maintains a 4.35 GPA and is planning to attend Harvard Law.
The last part of that makes me cringe. So much for early retirement.
