I have a question to Precision Power and also to anyone who has used/knows about this Bose Controller See Pics. I am using the Older Bose Series II Speakers. I just got the Controller from Precision Power and tested it this evening. Problem is there is a high frequency hiss/hum coming out of the speakers. The Controller does have a ground post but I have not connected it to anything.
Here are the settings I am using:
Input: -10 (Hiss/Hum is louder bit the speakers sound better.
+4 (Hiss/Hum is not as loud but the speakers still sound good)
Mode: #1 FR (Still Hums)
#2 BA (Still hums)
I do not have any speakers kooked up to the Low frequency outputs.
My connections are (Balanced out from Mixer to Balanced in to DBX1231 EQ to Balanced In to Amp).
If I bypass/do not connect the Controller, there is no hiss/hum. Is the unit malfunctioning and needs servicing or do I have to ground it? If so to what.
