Well that failed. Oh well, It's never booked til you have the contract returned.

I sent the contract last night and I just got an email that she is going with another company that will do it for $100.

:sqerr: Are you surprised? There are some in this town doing it for free, meaning that they are not charging extra for lighting services. Like the song says "How low can you get?"

Honestly as an add on how much do you think it's worth?

I know Cam was doing this as a standalone project but the fact remains if someone was doing it as an add on it's certainly not worth $400.00

You can pick up par cans for $25 and jells for $0.99. Let's say it's a two hour setup/teardown it's still a heckuva ROI after the first job

I know of DJ's in my area that were/are getting $100 per fixture...as short as 6 months ago! :sqerr: :sqcool:

I dont doubt that but at some point the market has to correct itself.

I am not against someone making money but brides have internet too and it wouldnt take much to look up the price to purchase and wouldnt take alot of skill to make it happen

Think of it in these terms...As a DJ you bring in $5000 worth of gear can you charge $20,000

If I had to setup 2 hours earlier for this I would be there 4 hours in advance.16 hours would be just too much unless I was playing music the whole time. I actually hate 2-4 hour events as I take my time during setup and I would have to add more time to my strike. Many venues here want you out in an hour I use every minute of it rather than rush more than is needed.
