I think they are $600 just about everywhere they are sold.

They were not that long ago .. but you are correct .. seems like they are dumping them. They do sound decent (from the limited exposure I had at the DJ Expo.
 
If they weren't overpriced or perhaps just a flop in the marketplace - it could be a move to dump them before the batteries dies of old age. I don't think you can store these things through the entire pandemic and still expect the battery to work properly.
