Wish me luck. I just submitted a quote on a large outdoor event for a worthy cause in April. Two days, in two different locations at the same time. One location will be for 3,000 people all day on a Saturday 9.00 - 6.00pm and on Sunday 6.00 - 8.00am. The other location will be handled by another DJ is in the same County but miles over. 2.00 - 6.00pm the same Saturday and 6.00 - 8.00 am the same Sunday. At this location the attendance should be around 1,000 people. Rental on the Generators alone is $500.00. Total quote is about $12,000.00 net. Again, this is thanks to my Entertainment Agency.
I am only bringing my DJ console and laptop. I am using a large outdoor production company who will be supplying everything else. I don't want the stress of renting gear and having to secure it in case of rain, crew, special insurance for that gig etc. If they damage it then that is their baby. Sometimes you have to share the wealth.
