I think God had a great time watching his children have fund doing this. I can see Him smiling down, I thought it was fun. I can see where everyone would not like it and I do agree the reception would be a better venue, that way I get to be part of it. :sqwink:

Of course we are told to "judge not" in Matthew 7:1. So..........................
 
Church Thumpers...

I love how it's terrible to have fun in a church in some people's eyes. I'm sure this isn't a "Southern" Baptist church. The one organ and one piano only rule applies to those! I get a kick out of "church"... Church "ain't gotta be just for your momma and daddy no more!" It was very well done but the unfortunate part is every wingnut with internet access and a wedding planned will be trying this now. These things get old very quick
 
My personal thoughts are this. God gave us the gift of joy and dance. He also gave us the gift of praise in him. I think this is over the top, but still it is showing excitement for a marriage and starting it off with fun. Why do weddings need to be like funerals. I think God would love this. Has anyone ever watched Jesse Duplantis preach, watch out now. He is a trip.

I think this shows respect for god and the joy this couple shares for life. My gosh, it may not be for everyone but I would go to a church like that. Ever been to a church with rocking music before hand, in comparison to the, no offense, tired old hymns. Makes a big difference in the service!!

maybe more people would go to church if peope found it to be more fun!
(especially for kids!)
not saying you should "dis" the whole idea of religion...
but the bible does mention joy, dancing, rejoice, etc!
I'm sure (whatever God you follow) would much rather have people happy!
It makes it a whole lot easier to "share the joy"...
and "spread the word".
 
Well was just watching the 6pm News on local tv and just saw that same Wedding entrance

so its been up a short time but its getting a lot of press now

Mine also Wayde. I went to the original production in Boston back in 72-73 with my Catholic school. I've seen about 4 other productions since then.

I think it is pretty neat how a video and a song can be a sensation, and as you mentioned drive sales for a particular song like that!


I also wanted to post to say...yay..there is more than a handful of people besides me who thought it was a bit "too" much!!

The video, as mentioned above, even hit our local news channel. At my class reunion last night, basically before the dance...I had a few old classmates come to the computer, and I showed them the video.

There was not one person, including myself, that did not think it wasn't cool! They loved it.

And the best part now...before I even said my thoughts on this...and this was initially during the video...some people noticed the bridal party members entering a few times....and then at the end..after the video..a few people were talking about that it was a bit much! **WOOP WOOP** :sqlaugh:

Then after discussing it a bit...we stilled agreed, it still rocks! :sqbiggrin:
