The reason I'm lookin' is because durring todays broadcast I noted some white noise in my signal when connecting the output of my laptop to the Tape/CD input of my mixer.... it got better when I connected it later to a Line Level input and turned the channel gain down....but, my experience when I turn the gain down is I lose quality when hooked into the PA system... nevermind thru the headphones...
I think other than color being different according to what I can read the Red one offers better D/A converters.... and a lot of software... but, I don't give a hoot about the software package just that the sound floor is lower...

I've been reading the manuals and I think DJ SVO has it right... one is white and one is red.... I don't see any other difference unless you call software bundles and model numbers the difference... I don't think there is anything electronically different.
I've noticed the same thing with my system. I use two of the 202's. I have to turn the gain down or I pick up hard drive noise. Then when I compensate for the lower gain, I can hear the difference in the equipment. Vocals overdriven etc.
I don't get any noise out of mine at all (I have 2 as well) -- then again, I usually use them on a tower, not a lappy.
Couple suggestions:
Make sure the USB cable to the 202 is not coiled, as it may go into antenna mode.
Make sure they're not on the same root USB hub as any external drives you might be using.

Because I said so -- isn't that enough...?
Mainly because of bandwidth issues, which can cause all sorts of weird things to happen (not to mention bottlenecks). If you have everything on one root USB hub, a lot of traffic is passing back and forth between all the different devices attached to that root hub.
If you isolate the soundcard to a hub that is used only for that, you can easily rule out interference.
If the soundcard, external drive, mouse, etc., are all on the same root hub, they have to compete for limited bandwidth. That's why most computers have multiple root USB hubs, so you can put the sensitive things on their own.
Soundcards are constantly sending and receiving packets -- anything that slows that down, could result in above mentioned weird stuff.
OK so on a lappy that has 2 USB on 1 Side and 2 on the other are they on different hubs? And if so can you put a 202 on the same side as the mouse?
It all depends on yer system...
You can sorta tell by using Device Manager, and plugging things in, them taking them out, but it's not real specific. There's a program that I found that will sort it out fairly easily for you though -- you can get it here (tiny little program):

I just got the 222.... it's just this little red plastic box but what a difference between it and the laptop sound card.... and yes it did solve the audio interference trouble...

No, what it was is I was doing a ustream video cast and had noticed there was laptop noise in my audio comming from the laptops built in sound card. I had noticed this before at gigs but wrote it off as me not having the gain set right.... but through headphones I could hear the noise for what it was... hard drive access noise.
So, knowing that the Behringer UCA 202 was popular I looked for that and came accross the UCA 222... thinking it had a higher number therefore it must be better than the 202...
I bought that one.Well after I commited to the purchase I started reading the manual which lead me to read both manuals... what I found was the specs on both units seem to be identical only the color of the unit and the model number is different.
In the end I paid an extra $10 for the color red.
